This guided meditation is intended to be listened to when you wake up, preferably first thing, from the comforts of your bed. You may wish to diffuse some essential oils, light candles, and close the door. Set the mood—this could get steamy! If you have extra time this morning journaling after is a great idea (there are 5 bonus journal prompts at the bottom of this post), and if you’re in a rush proceed with pride, acknowledging how awesome you are for making time for this self-love practice! Women often postpone the things that treat them right, tending to everyone else’s needs before their own. By loving up your body first thing in the morning you set the mood for the rest of the day, cultivating a magical practice of mindfulness, opening the channels of communication with your feminine super power of intuition. I’d also suggest rubbing yourself down with coconut oil or Amazing Crème post meditation, further allowing your practice to soak in, deep and cellular.
This meditation takes 25 minutes, so pencil it in on your calendar and create the necessary space in your morning routine to rise and shine with moxy!
1.) What area of your body generated the most pleasure? Describe this feeling. Use colourful language.
2.) Where in your body were you holding tension or resistance? What thoughts arose when you brought awareness to this area?
3.) What are you grateful for about your body? Make a list of 3-5 things that came up for you today, and then elaborate, embellishing on why you’re grateful for these aspects of your fine self.
4.) What affirmations made your pulse pound? What spell do you wish to write down and repeat to yourself throughout your day?
5.) What are three things that you will do today to maintain this connection between your mind and your body? Write them down and create an intention fuelled by self-love and moxy. This is a sacred contract.
